Good afternoon Lawson Marriott Community.
This afternoon, it was brought to our attention that possible gunshots were heard in close proximity to our school. We made the decision to put our school on a soft lockdown, which entails our students and staff to stay indoors but remain teaching and normal activities. After a thorough investigation by our police department, it was confirmed that the sounds came from hunters nearby that posed no threat to our school. There was no tangible threat to the building or potential harm to students; therefore, the soft lockdown was released. Student safety is our top priority and we will continue to be hypervigilant about any potential threats that could impact the safety of our students and staff.
We appreciate your continued support. Thank you.
